Bart Nelson,
RPh, Owner and Pharmacist

Bart was born and raised in the Los Altos community, and received a B.S. in pharmacy from the University of the Pacific School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Stockton, California. After working for various chain drugstores, he returned to Los Altos in 1973 to take over the pharmacy from his father who had founded the business in 1934. In 1981, Bart also began a medical equipment business and later a pharmacy IV store. Bart enjoys spending time with his 3 daughters: Leah, Michelle and Rachel, traveling with his daughter’s volleyball teams to various tournaments all over the U.S., cycling, exercising and playing golf.

Jack Castaldo,
RPh, Pharmacist and Compounding Specialist

Jack earned a B.S. in pharmacy from Idaho State University, and has been a pharmacist in the Los Altos area for more than 30 years. He is also certified in aseptic compounding technique and is a member of the Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA). Prior to joining the Los Altos Pharmacy team, Jack was an owner of a retail pharmacy in the Bay Area for 9 years and also managed a long-term care pharmacy for 12 years that serviced the greater Bay Area. Jack enjoys skiing, water sports, traveling and golfing in his free time.

Becky Bell,
RPh, Bio-Identical Hormone Consultant for Women/Men

Becky received her B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Houston and has been a compounding pharmacist for 20 yrs. She has attended several seminars on compounding including a Bio-Identical HRT Symposium in 2004, the Professional Compounding Centers of America Functional Endocrinology Symposium in 2005, as well as the PCCA International Compounding Seminar in 2006. She has lived in Los Altos since 1982 and her hobbies include dancing, choral singing and playing the piano and the French horn.

Teri Mansfield,
Marketing Director and Outside Sales Manager

Teri has been with Los Altos Pharmacy for 6 years and has worked in the Los Altos community for over 20 years, specifically in Diabetes and Wound Care. She has completed numerous courses specific to her Business/Marketing degree and is also a licensed pharmacy technician. Teri currently lives in San Jose and loves gardening, reading and wine tasting with her 2 children, Colin 27 and Megan 23.

Shannon Towle,
Lead Pharmacy Technician and Technicians Manager

Shannon has been employed at Los Altos Pharmacy since September 1997, and has worked as a clerk, delivery driver, and technician. He is a licensed pharmacy technician by the California Board of Pharmacy. He is a huge Bay Area sports fan (Giants, 49ers, Sharks and Stanford) and also enjoys playing baseball, basketball and golf. He lives in South San Jose with 3 roommates and loves going to the beach, traveling, playing poker, listening to music and going out on the town on Saturday nights.

Leah Nelson Accola,
Chief Operating Officer,
Marketing and Sales Representative

Leah was born and raised in Los Altos and has worked in the healthcare industry for the last 4 years since graduating from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo in 2003. Her degree is in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Management. After graduation, Leah worked for Triage Consulting Group out of San Francisco as a financial consultant to hospitals. Now, she is excited to be working locally with her father at Los Altos Pharmacy and hopes to contribute to the growth of the business that her family has owned since 1934. Leah loves to travel, run, read and spend time with her husband, family and friends.

Jane Edwards,
Merchandising Manager

Jane has a medical background from England that includes nursing as well as a PhD in clinical psychology. She has been with Los Altos Pharmacy for 13 years, beginning in November of 1994. Before moving to the States, she worked in residential care for 3 years and at a pharmacy for 4 years in England. Jane is a huge animal lover and her hobbies include painting, walking and reading.
